I know many of you out there in the world wide interweb struggle with weight, dieting, starving, gorging, and trying to strike a balance between all of them. I KNOW I’m not the only one who will work out for an hour so I can eat a brownie . . .right??? Right? (insert crickets chirping here) . . . That being said, when M&M Premiums offered some bloggers a chance to try their new product, and then talk about it - I was all over it. Chocolate and writing? What could be better? And when they told me that one lucky reader (and commenter) would win a prize pack of M&M Premiums . . . well, I knew you wouldn’t want me to pass this up.
A couple of weeks ago, a huge box landed on my doorstep. Inside it was a veritable treasure chest of chocolate goodness. Is it crude to say that it also coincided with some heinous PMS? At first I thought they had sent me the prize pack - then, I realized it was all for ME ME ME! My Catholic guilt kicked in when I also realized I was having a bunch of friends in for the weekend. This meant I only hogged the chocolate almond variety to myself. I shared everything else (see picture below for proof!). Here’s the thing: though I may be watching what I eat, and focusing on health, a girl has got to have a little bit of chocolate. At least occasionally. M&M Premiums are the perfect size and texture to kill off that chocolate craving without destroying your healthy eating. Since I had never had the Premiums before, I had no idea what to expect. Well folks, they are sure a world away from the good old M&M. Instead of a hard candy shell, the outside is colorful and slightly crunchy. Inside is delicious chocolate and whatever flavor you wish. My personal favorites are the Mint Chocolate, Raspberry Almond, and Chocolate Almond. I also really liked the packaging. Some of my favorite candy gets stale very quickly. The inside sleeve of the Premiums is resealable, and the carton has a tab closure for extra special freshness. Best of all, a serving size is a substantial 1/4 cup and has about 240 calories. I contained myself and would eat closer to 1/8 cup, which was just enough to kill my chocolate craving but not enough to ruin my diet.
I also walked away from the entire taste and review experience giggling. Mike, the husband, tried one. His comment? “These aren’t anything like M&Ms. There isn’t even a candy shell!” Ummm, yeah. That’s why they are called something different. Don’t let the M&M brand name fool you (or, if you’re a guy, confuse you). If you like M&Ms, great - you’ll probably like these too. If you don’t like M&Ms, try these. You’ll like them. Comprendes? Okay.
Helena particularly enjoyed the Chocolate Mint (and yes, her shirt matches!!!). I wanted to fight her for them, but I realized fist fighting over chocolate really wasn’t setting a good example for my kids. And frankly, I think Helena could take me.

I really doubt I could take you, thankfully we can all be adult about our chocolate addiction. I do love the mint ones. They are so good.I probably would share a little with my kids, just a few. I’ve never tried M&M Premiums, but they look like what you had as a kid, but for adults. What a great concept! The packaging is terrific and the candy looks like the perfect end to a tough day. How could someone feel deprived with those kinds of flavors waiting for you? I think I would use the Triple Chocolate as my reward at the end of a tough day at work.

With the stress of Job Hunting all I want to do is eat and eat and snack on comforting things like ice cream and chocolate, these would help me limit my portions, so instead of a large slice of chocolate cake or a bowl of ice cream, I can have a handful of these at one sitting and not feel like I am depriving myself of something I really enjoy! I reward myself with chocolate every night while watching tv. I hide my chocolate in the nightstand beside my bed. Nobody ever looks in that drawer. I just have to remember not to ask anyone to get something out of that drawer for me or my treasure will be discovered.

I take care of my 83 yr. old mother with alzheimers and we are homebound , and and chocolate is a treat for me and her, ive tried all these new m and m s and they are great the old addage you get what you pay for.

I love chocolate, especially chocolate covered nuts! I always hide my “good” chocolate so the kids can’t find it; I tell them its grownup candy and they wouldn’t appreciate it. With all of these, I could share some with them, well at least maybe a few.

First off, I would indeed share this with the kid in the house. I would leave the mint flavor in plain view and tell him to help himself. It’s not my fault he dislikes mint. I would use this little luxury to reward myself for completing the chores everyone else ignores and leaves for “someone else” (me!). Since these are thankless chores, I would thank myself and feel no guilt.

I am a choco-holic. The funny thing is when my children were little I hardly ever bought candy. I now work from home and find myself snacking much more.

I hide my M&M’s when my 3 grandchildren come to visit. Bad Grandma….. no I don’t think so. It’s just self defense. If I have any M&M’s out in the open… they will be all gone when they leave. So if I won I could share with them and not feel bad because I would have enough for them and me.
I’m a pretty health conscience person when it comes to what I snack on. I generally choose healthy choices. I’ve come to the conclusion that cocoa beans are natural and must be good for me. Cocoa beans are in chocolate and chocolate is in M&M Premiums. Therefore they have to be HEALTHY!

I was raised by a Chocolic who used to “hide” her stash in the freezer. I have contined the tradtion and hide my M&M’s in the cabinet above the kids plates! They are only 2 and 4 so I have a while to find a safer place! I would love to clear out a spot for some new M&M’s!

I’m so terrible about chocolate, particularly M&M’s, that I hide all of it in my desk drawer at home so nobody can find it. One day my son went in there for a piece of paper and he yells Mommy, why do you get to keep all the chocolate in the house, and WHY is there so many empty candy bags in here???

I love them, but, you know, when they’re teenagers, and then they come back for awhile after college, you somethimes just want them to LEAVE! Then, after they do…eventually…you miss them.

When I’m at the office chocolate is something that doesn’t last very long if anyone knows it’s there. Just the same at home too. It is however the one thing that keeps me sane when I’m having one of those days. I tend to keep mine in my purse or in my office bag because nobody ever goes through those.

I am definitly interested in these as a luxury/reward system for myself. I am on my weightloss track to lose all of my baby weight (2 kids in three years) and everyonce in a while I like to treat myself. I could use a little luxury in my daily life a lot. Mostly because I have 3 kids (that seem to double in number based on attitude alone!) and over 150 fish that I breed and raise. That means a gazillion (or 8) huge aquariums to clean,do water changes, and feed. Also, my in-laws live with us and they’re older, so they take some care and feeding. So please, please, give me chocolate! Chocolate…Yum! I never heard of premium M&Ms;, I’d love to try them. I might even share some with others in my house. Maybe, just maybe.
I need the luxury of M&M’s and a massage because I take care of patients all day long and I need to take care of myself!!
I could use this little luxury in my life because my husband is driving me crazy….he loves to play golf and is usually able to be on the course this time of year but because we had “extra” snow and cold weather he has been unable to play. All I hear about everyday is how he wishes he could play and that he probably won’t get to play at all this year. Winning these chocolates could be my little escape. Thanks for the chance to win!
I love chocolate. These m&ms;sound like a luxury themselves. The economy sucks right now. I am trying to watch what I spend and cut back on junk food. This would be a great thing to win because like I said before I LOVE chocolate!!
To save all you ladies from having to worry about exercising and dieting if you won these, i will be the token male offering to take this worry away from you. I do chocolate and do not gain an ounce. Actually, i would give these to my wife and exercise with her to counteract any bad consequences.
I fight my husband and FIL over chocolate all the time! I find the best defense is to hide what I want from them so they can’t get their sticky fingers on it!
I would stash them in my desk drawer and savor one every couple of hours!

I’ve never tried these but would love to. Chocolate always helps me to relax..I swear it does :D I also hide my candy. It’s in the middle drawer of the desk where my computer sits. It’s way in the back in a box marked important papers :D. My kids would never think to look there. If I win that’s where these babies would go!!

With three boys in my house, chocolate barely makes it in the door before it is scarfed. This “fancy” chocolate may turn the boys off. I can see it on my home office desk in its beautiful packaging with its gourmet flavours untouched by the grubby hands of boys. Bring it on, Please!

I love almond M&Ms;! I didn’t know the Premium line included those.
Chocolate is definitely a luxury and these little M&M gems would really put a smile on my face.
Though I’ve always wanted to try the premium M&M’s, I always buy candy that my kids like (yes, they are a bit spoiled!) As for this, I would probably share with my friends when they come to visit, it’s a great way to start the conversation.

I could use this little luxury because I like to have just a little treat now and then and I would be able to seal them back up to stay nice and fresh until I was ready for more or until the little divas were onto me - not all of them have learned the fine art of savoring yet.
Too bad its only for U.S residens. I would love to try them because they dont sell them here in Sweden or probably not in hole Europe.

These premium M&M’s are the perfect little luxury I turn to at the end of a stressful day. I can stash these at home, work, or in my car. They don’t last too long in my house because they’re just too darned good!

I love the raspberry Premium M&M’s. I even went to work early last Monday, so I could get the $1 off coupons for them out of the Sunday paper. Is this pathetic or what. M&M’s are always a luxury because whenever I east them I relax and de-stress.
It is very hard for me to hide chcoolate from my very large family and, believe me, I have tried. I like to relax with a gourmet cup of coffee and chocolate and with my very busy life, I need to do something for myself once in awhile.
I work outdoors all day with my husband for our small business and come home so tired. If I win this would be a definite treat for me and and enjoy these while relaxing in the evening after my children have gone to sleep.

I would share my m&m wealth with my grandchildren, family and keep some for me.
As long as I repackage them so I could spread them out, a small amount of a delicious, delectable treat doesn’t hurt the diet, and can actually help you stick to it and lose weight. Therefore, in proper moderation (!) it could be a diet food!

I am already drooling over the mint chocolate candies!
